Weekend Vibes: Must see events in the San Francisco Bay Area



4th of july

  • What: The waterfront will be covered in dazzling lights as San Francisco hosts the annual Fourth of July fireworks. Enjoy the Port throughout the day and stay to watch the fireworks show at night: Perfect Day in Fisherman’s Wharf.

    The fireworks show will be launched from the Bay and is expected to begin at 9:30 p.m. It will last approximately 20 minutes.

    Fireworks are best viewed from the Fisherman’s Wharf area. Public viewing areas to watch the show include Aquatic Park, Pier 39, and the Pier 43 walkway.

  • What: The Kiwanis-Danville Parade will take place on Friday, July 4th, 2025 from 9am-noon in downtown Danville, California.

    This year’s parade theme is Celebrating 50 years of Community Service.

    This year’s 2025 Parade Grand Marshal, who is also celebrating 50 years of Community Service, is Contra Costa and Solano Food Bank.

July 4th Parade
  1. July 4th Parade (Martinez)


  • What: Join Martinez for a patriotic extravaganza at the Annual Downtown Martinez 4th of July Parade, proudly presented by Martinez Refining Company. It’s time to paint Main Street red, white, and blue as over 40 spirited entries march down the heart of downtown Martinez in a dazzling display of community pride and celebration.

    Flag Raising Ceremony at Veteran’s Memorial Building (Time to be announced) | Parade starts at 10 am. Parade route begins at Court St. & Main St. Ends at Alhambra Ave. & Main St.

    Bring the kids, grandparents, and friends. The Annual Downtown Martinez 4th of July Parade is a time-honored tradition perfect for the whole family! Wear your red, white, and blue, and join us for a memorable Independence Day in downtown Martinez!

  • When: Friday, July 4, 2025 - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm



 4th of July + Fireworks
  1. 4th of July + Fireworks (Pleasant Hill)


  • What: Join the City of Pleasant Hill for a day of activities on the July 4 Holiday that includes a 5k run, parade, park event and concludes with a fireworks show.

  • Where: Pleasant Hill, CA

  • When: Friday, July 4, 2025 - 7:30 am to 10:30 pm



Liberty Bell 5k Fun Run (Brentwood)


  • What: Welcome to the 2nd annual Liberty High School Band 5k. The Liberty High School Band is excited to host this event as it will directly benefit the marching band, jazz band, concert programs, winter percussion and winter guard programs.

  • Where: Veterans Park, Brentwood CA

  • When: Friday, July 4, 2025 - 7:30 am to 10:30 pm




Oakland CA


  • What: Oakland First Fridays is an immersive art and community experience on the first Friday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Telegraph Avenue from West Grand to 27th Street. Oakland's KONO district springs to life with for this event, with galleries, artist collectives, street artists, local culinary artisans, performers, musicians, dancers, DJ’s, and poets gathering for Oakland First Friday events.

    This free event brings in thousands of people that come from across the Bay Area and beyond to see and experience art, be inspired, eat great food, enjoy live music, and stroll through the amazing, eclectic city of Oakland. An economic impact report shows that the Oakland First Fridays has a major, positive economic impact on the KONO community. Monthly themes focus on the communities of Oakland including LGBTQ Pride, Black Love, Latinx Pride, Youth, Women and more.
