Mount Diablo State Park Hike (Walnut Creek)
What: Join us for a short hike around the summit of Mount Diablo to enjoy breathtaking views and learn about the diverse landscapes, geology, fire ecology, and cultural history of the area. We'll be joined by Mount Diablo State Park interpretive staff who will lead us on the Mary Bowerman Trail while sharing their knowledge with us in both English and Spanish.
The walk is .7 miles long. The first .2 miles are paved and ADA accessible. The remainder of the trail is single track.
The group will meet near the summit of the mountain at the long-term parking area, which has a water fountain and restrooms. After the hike, you are welcome to explore the rest of the park, including the nearby Summit Visitor Center!
